Again this year LINC was privileged to host National Night Out at the LINC Community Center. We had a great turnout with friends, neighbors, members from several churches and our Wentzville officials from the Fire department, Ambulance district, and Police Officers as well as Alderman Michael Rhoades, and Mayor Nick Guccione. And everyone loved the amazing helicopter flyby, complete with sirens blasting. What tremendous support from the City of Wentzville and the community!
There was plenty of food to be enjoyed by all, including grilled BBQ hot dogs and hamburgers. The kids seemed to especially enjoy the cotton candy and popcorn and cold drinks after all their play in the jumping house, face painting and other fun activities. (See the smiling faces in the pictures below.) LINC held drawings for many wonderful prizes that had been donated for the special event. Smiling faces everywhere when the lucky numbers were drawn, and the winners stepped forward to receive their prizes. Thanks for all of the prize donations made by our generous churches and people in our community. Thanks to each person and the many organizations who supported this event and helped to make it successful. LINC could not have done this without all of you!
LINC’s National Night Out strives to foster a community-building event, promoting police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Experiences like this help us to forge a true sense of community and makes our neighborhoods a safer, better place to live.
Thanks to every one who came out to participate in LINC’s National Night Out this year…and LINC looks forward to seeing everyone again at next year’s event.
