Celebrating 25 Years

25 years-of-serviceGod is good! From the beginnings of holiday help in 1990, to incorporation in 1992; to our first director, expanded board development and our first office in 1994; to our IRS tax-exempt status in 1995; to purchasing property in 1996; to our community center opening in 1999; and the completion of property development in 2003; God has blessed LINC with the means to be a viable, vital ministry in St. Charles County and beyond. But that is not the heart of LINC. The heart is the many projects and programs fleshed out by a caring staff and host of community volunteers. The heart is expressing Love In the Name of Christ. We support hurting and fractured families and individuals and come alongside them during times of difficulty to help create a path back to health, wholeness, and happiness. Join us in making the next 25 years as successful as the first 25 years!

LINKThe St. Charles County Mayors’ Charity Ball, which was held on March 14, raised record donations. In all, more than $80,000 was raised. Proceeds from the event were awarded to six local nonprofit organizations – including one right here in Wentzville.

LINC, or Love in the Name of Christ Inc., was the recipient of $19,800 raised during the annual event. LINC serves disadvantaged families in St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties. To learn more about the organization, visit www.lincscc.org.
Mayor Nick Guccione, who participated in this year’s Mayors’ Charity Ball, is thrilled to see this organization receive such a generous donation. “LINC is very deserving of this donation,” said Guccione. “I was so excited to present this check to LINC to give back to them some of what they give back to our community.”

Kathy Thompson, LINC’s Executive Director is very grateful for this donation. “LINC St Charles County of Wentzville Missouri was so overwhelmed with gratitude when we heard that we would be one of the recipients of the Charity Ball proceeds,” said Thompson. “We are passionate about providing the preschool with enhancements so they become better students, as well as developing the workforce programs to help disadvantaged parents become more self-reliant. We are grateful to the Lord that the St. Charles County mayors feel the same way. What a tremendous surprise to receive a check that exceeded our request! Thank you St. Charles County mayors and especially Wentzville Mayor Nick Guccione,
